But the more spell gems you're using for your build the more unlikely it is that you'll consistently get the spells cast that you're hoping for. It is very unusual for both spells to not get cast. My purgatorian setup only uses two spells and needs both to be cast at the beginning of a battle. This way you can control, to some degree, how the spells play out. Water Salamander is ideal for setups that aren't using a ton of spell gems IMO. The random nature of Water Salamander might be a turn off but the fact that you can get your spells in play before anyone takes a turn is a huge advantage. Water Salamander will randomly cast spells at the start of battle.įor my invincible (nearly) Purgatorian I use a water salamander to get my invincibility combo on the field prior to anyone taking a turn.
